Key Clubs are the high school organizations sponsored by Kiwanis International. Members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities and learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.
Conejo Valley Kiwanis sponsors the Agoura High School Key Club, which received its charter on April 4, 1986. It currently has 67 members and meets every Wednesday at 12:25pm. The faculty advisor is journalism teacher Lorelei Hollister.
Officers for 2017-2018 are President Belisa Yu; Vice-President Ariana Simms; Secretary Megan Sullivan; Treasurer Danielle Ford; Historian Elize Portnoy.
The club has held a fundraiser for the Pediatric Trauma Program through a fun summer potluck, and it has also raised money for UNICEF through the "Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF" fundraiser. Every year it participates in Agoura's "V-Day," a carnival event at school, and sells root beers floats to raise money for The Eliminate Project. In the past, the club has also participated in Relay for Life, the Calabasas Pumpkin Festival, the Great Race of Agoura, Reyes Adobe Days, Brandon's Village, Food Drive for Manna Food Bank, and more.
